Evidence-informed, meaning-centred trauma care

Your history deserves to be understood.

It does not have to be obeyed.

Trauma counselling, PTSD therapy, and EMDR for military members, veterans, first responders, healthcare professionals, and adults whose lives have been altered by trauma, addiction, or major life disruption.

Beyond symptom reduction

You are more than what happened to you.

Trauma can leave you feeling on edge, disconnected, angry, ashamed, or as though you no longer recognize yourself. These reactions often developed as ways of protecting you during experiences that overwhelmed the mind and nervous system.

Therapy begins with understanding—not judgment. Together, we work to reclaim safety, choice, identity, connection, meaning, and hope. The aim is not simply to manage symptoms, but to help you clarify who you want to become and build a life increasingly aligned with that person.

Looking back, moving forward

EMDR asks us to look backward so we can move forward.

Difficult experiences can remain stored as though they are still happening. EMDR supports the brain's natural capacity to process what was overwhelming, reconnecting memory with present-day safety, perspective, and choice.

You do not erase the past. You change your relationship with it.

Clinician. Former law enforcement.

I meet people at the level of their identity rather than reducing them to a problem or diagnosis.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in law enforcement and later navigated significant health challenges, disability, and complex insurance systems of my own. That experience informs my work, but it does not replace careful clinical practice.

I am an EMDR-certified Registered Clinical Counsellor and Canadian Certified Counsellor. My work is integrative, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that healing involves more than symptom reduction: it involves recovering authorship of your life.
